Cornered Energies

The project delves into the pressing issue of limited opportunities and platforms for the youth of Somaliland and Somalia, which stifles their ability to express themselves and often results in untapped potential and wasted energy.

Through the lens of my camera, I documented the lives of young individuals from diverse backgrounds, capturing the spaces where they spend their days and giving them the opportunity to share their thoughts on what it means to be a "cornered energy."

This multimedia project brings together evocative photographs and compelling audio narratives, presented as a powerful slideshow, to shed light on the urgent need to address the constraints faced by the youth in these regions and to help unlock their boundless potential.
